Weight Training Routines

Free weight training routines, use these tried and tested exercise routines to reach your goals, increase muscle, lose fat and get toned.

Weight training is a great way to build muscle and lose fat, weight training itself is not as good as running for burning calories, but the increased muscle you will gain will burn more calories in the long run. Making it better for weight loss in the long term.


Sets and reps

These weight training routines can be completed in a few different ways, the standard method which is doing about 8 - 10 reps resting and then perform another set, or you can also apply the super sets and drop set methods, you should use the exact workouts below, but I recommend changing things around once every 4 -8 weeks.

Exercises

The exercises in these workouts have been chosen because they work, they are basic and effective exercises just as long as good technique is used to perform the exercises. Many of the exercises focus on multiple muscles, these are called compound exercises, others focus on one single muscle, these are called isolation exercises.

Technique vs Weight

Technique comes first, if you lift heavy with poor technique you will increase the risk of injury, plus you will not work the muscles as well which will limit the benefits.
