Flat Stomach Exercises

Flat stomach exercises, how do you get a flat stomach? I give simple diet tips and a simple workout to get that flat stomach.

How to get a flat stomach?

You have to reduce your overall body fat, if you are thinking the best way to lose stomach fat is to do lots of stomach exercises then you have fallen victim to the spot training myth. You can't lose fat from one area of your body by just training that area, instead you need to exercise your whole body to lower your body fat percentage.

Eat the right foods

You diet plays a big part in your flat stomach goal, you need to reduce foods that are high in saturated fat and sugar. Eat foods that are full of nutrients, high in vitamins, minerals, fiber and protein.

Have breakfast

Eat shortly after waking up, this will kick start your metabolism, increasing your bodies ability to burn calories.

Build muscle

Building some extra muscle is one of the best ways to lower your body fat, so do some weight resistance exercises for your whole body. Muscle requires energy to move, the more muscle you have the more fat you will burn.

Flat Stomach Exercises

  • Press ups - 40 reps in total - perform them on your knees if you need to, also break the 40 repetitions up into sets if required.

  • Lunges - 2 sets of 20 reps.

  • Tricep Dips - 2 sets of 10 reps.

  • Squats - 2 sets of 20 reps.

  • Ab crunches - 60 reps.

  • Leg raises - 20 - 40 reps.

I recommend performing this workout at least 5 times a week, less if you're already very active. The above workout is just an example workout which can get results, the most important thing is just exercising regularly.

Any good exercise that burns calories is good for getting a flat stomach, it's important to keep track of how much you're consuming, eating too much even while exercising on a regular basis will prevent you from burning fat.
