Best Bicep Workout

Do you want the best bicep workout, this page has a great workout for your biceps, get big guns with this selection of exercises.

This page has a workout you can do at home with dumbbells and a bicep workout for the gym. This workout is designed to focus solely on your biceps, it includes some of the best bicep exercises and training methods that get results.

The bicep is one of my favorite muscles to train and one of the easiest.

How to get good arms!

The biceps AKA the guns, gets all the attention, and it is one of the biggest muscles in the arm but not the biggest. The biggest is the tricep, it makes up for about two thirds of your entire upper arm size. So you can't ignore your triceps if you want good arms. If you're a guy good arms, normally means muscular, if you are a girl, good arms means slim and toned, the below workout can be used to attain both.

Brachialis

This is the muscle on the outside of your arm, in between the bicep and tricep, it's a large muscle in your arm yet it's normally over looked. If you want good arms training your brachialis is important, it is worked during normal bicep curls, but it can be focused on more by changing the technique of the bicep curl.

This page is about the bicep, if you have come on to this page you might be after a workout to get big arms, remember if you want to get big arms, you must train the triceps and to a lessor extent the brachialis.

You can do this at home, but you need a pair of dumbbells that are weight adjustable.



Best Bicep Workout

This workout should last about 20 - 30 minutes

Technique - slow and controlled with full range of motion, don't substitute technique for weight.

Use enough weight so you're reaching failure on your final reps

  • Alternating standing dumbbell bicep curls

    Start with your palms facing inward, as you raise each arm rotate so your palms end up facing forward.

    4 sets of 8 - 12 reps each arm - rest about 1 - 2 minutes between sets

  • Concentration Curls

    4 sets of 8 - 12 reps each arm

  • Drop set alternating dumbbell curls - in this version keep your palms facing inward towards your body

    Do 4 sets of reducing weight curls, for 8 - 12 reps

    Try and get near failure at the end of each set, drop the weight and do another set without rest.

    Bicep workout for the gym

  • Preacher curls with curl bar

    4 sets of 8 - 12 reps

  • Incline seated dumbbell curls

    4 sets of 8 - 12 reps

    Next two exercises should be completed as Super Sets, perform one set of each exercise for 8 - 12 reps then rest.

  • Bicep cable curls

  • Reverse hand standing barbell bicep curls
